Volunteering at the Farm...
Volunteers are the backbone of AJFM, and we appreciate every hour donated by our volunteers! Volunteering provides personal growth, community connections, and increased knowledge of the history of our area. We also welcome Eagle Scout projects, Gold and Silver Award projects, and internships for college credit.
Our volunteers learn new skills and make new friends with similar interests. Opportunities are available in research, special events, museum tours, education programs, collections assistance, garden volunteers, Big Shoal Farm volunteers, and gift shop/receptionist.
Volunteers are encouraged to become members of the Friends of the Atkins-Johnson Farm where they enjoy member benefits such as the Friends quarterly newsletter, members-only events, 20% off museum store merchandise, and entrance to members-only programming.
