A Shadow Over the Earth: The Life and Death of the Passenger Pigeon

September 24 - December 13, 2014

This exhibit was developed and designed by the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History, as a contribution to Project Passenger Pigeon, a year-long effort in 2014 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the extinction of this remarkable bird. The Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum also partnered with "Fold the Flock: The Passenger Pigeon Origami Project" to provide take-home origami passenger pigeons to all museum visitors.
