Welcome to the old farmhouse!

Discover a home that began as a single-room log cabin.

Enjoy the beautiful acres of preserved farmland, walk the trail to the historic Big Shoal Cemetery and look for wildlife along the way.

Explore local history with new exhibits each season or see what's growing in the heirloom garden.

Take home sunflowers, pumpkins and sweet corn each seasonally grown on site or visit the museum's store for local gifts.

4-H Mini Day Camp

Engage and entice native birds and insects to increase biodiversity on the farm and in your backyard by understanding the food, water and habitat needs of various native species by mixing a your own specialty blend of bird seed, building feeders and waterers and creating a habitat for mason bees.

Registration: May 3 – 24

Cost: $27 per student (Age 5-10

Storytime at the Farm

Join the Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum story tellers for a special version of Storytime on the Farm for children age 6m - 5 with a caregiver. Storytime at the Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum will begin at 10:00 a.m. and includes singalongs and a featured farm-themed story. This event is free.

Yoga on the Farm

Join us every Saturday morning from 8-9 am for summer and fall yoga on the farm! Stretch, breath, and relax with a series of 6-8 morning yoga classes held outdoors at the beautiful and historic Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum. To register call the Gladstone Community Center at 816-423-4200.

The City of Gladstone is proud to announce that it was approved for a matching TRIM (Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance) grant for up to $10,000 through the Missouri Department of Conservation for tree trimming and removal at Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum. Join us on May 12th at 1:00PM at the Farm for a presentation from Arbor Masters, Brian Rex.
