Pickin' on the Front Porch Bluegrass Concert
The Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum is proud to offer the 5th annual Pickin' on the Front Porch Bluegrass Concert featuring Gullywashers. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a free evening of music under the stars on the lawn of the Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum.

Big Shoal County Fair
Spend the day at the beautiful and historic Atkins-Johnson Farm! Presented by the Friends of the Atkins-Johnson Farm, the annual Big Shoal Country Fair free to the public and includes music, museum tours, demonstrations and more. Kid Zone featuring activities for a variety of ages such as petting zoo, bounce house, games, crafts, axe throwing and much more $10 per child unlimited access.

Candlelight Cemetery Tours
After the sun goes down pick-up your lantern and head over to the Big Shoal Cemetery as we learn about Clay County's past. This guided candlelight tour explores the history of the 194 year old Big Shoal Cemetery and gives visitors the chance to meet the people buried there including Clay County's earliest settlers, veterans, and colorful characters. This event is nothing spooky but just plain fun.

The City of Gladstone is proud to announce that it was approved for a matching TRIM (Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance) grant for up to $10,000 through the Missouri Department of Conservation for tree trimming and removal at Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum. Join us on May 12th at 1:00PM at the Farm for a presentation from Arbor Masters, Brian Rex.
